You might have multiple windows open on your computer screen. You might be hunched over your phone. You might have taken your tablet into the bathroom. Or be locked in your room. You might be home alone. Or have your family downstairs.

You might have been going for hours. You might be acting on a sudden pang. You might have been told this is normal. You might be filled with shame. You might feel powerless to stop. You might have been battling this in silence for years.

You might be wondering what I’m talking about! For those of you who don’t, I’m talking about porn addiction. The craving to watch other people have sex or look at images of another person to attain sexual gratification.

He Did What at Work? The Unpredictability of Addiction

I’ve touched upon this addiction before - no pun intended.

This addiction is one that I’ve written about before but has become even more relevant to talk about in recent years due to the number of people who have either reached out to me personally, I’ve seen discussing it online or lost everything because of it.

The fact that AI has entered the porn arena means that shit has just got real - or should I say fake! With artificial intelligence now getting involved in an industry already causing untold suffering to millions of men (and women) around the world, this could be the next pandemic Bill Gates and his evil minions have been talking about.

Porn is Big Business (via Covenanteyes)

It might not technically be AI - although I’m sure it’ll be introduced into that market - but the stats for VR porn are concerning. It now looks like people are moving away from traditional porn clips or videos towards pretending to have sex. This further perpetuates the claim that pornography is going to replace real sex over time.

That’s scary to comprehend.

You probably think I’m blowing this out of proportion. “Roscoe, porn isn’t that big of a deal.” Sadly, you’re wrong. You’ve probably even questioned your usage at some point. The problem is that this addiction is very much a secretive one. And although admitting your struggles with it has become more mainstream, the fact is many people are suffering from porn addiction in silence.

Aside from bragging with their mates, men don’t want their porn use coming to light. They probably spend way more time watching it than they disclose. And if they don’t, it is doing way more damage than they realise.

Pornography addiction is sinister. It has no entry requirements. You don’t have to spend any money to use it - internet costs aside. You can view it at any time. Even images of hot women in the newspaper are a type of porn because of the stimulation it causes. More on that later.

It is doing damage that many cannot see. You might not pay to watch it but you’re paying a high price internally. You’re warping your reality of sex. You’re skewing your view of the opposite sex. And you’re destroying your soul.

Let’s take a deeper look at AI and this addiction. Although, before I do, here is a helpful resource for those of you who are struggling to stop using porn. If you’ve been battling porn use for too long, please click the link below:

I want to quit

If you find yourself quitting porn only to go back to using again - feeling the same shame and guilt as before - then that course will help you. But please stick around as I’ll offer my insights into this important topic. Let’s do this!
